ICI Solvent Based Cement Primer
ICI Cement Primer is a solvent based protective primer suitable for use on wall applications on masonry, POP , Limed or pre-painted surfaces. It is specially formulated to give better adhesion on the surface with excellent intercoat adhesion. Correct application of primer ensures better quality and durability of finish coat

Surface Preparation :
Allow all new masonry surface to dry out completely. Remove all loose or defective paint or powdery residue by scraping. Treat any areas affected by mould, liches, algae and moss with 1 % solution of Surface Treatment Chemical (STC). Fill up minor cracks and defects with ICI ready mix Wall Filler or equivalent putty after one coat of primer application. Allow to dry completely, then sand with emery paper to smoothen the surface. The powders from sanding are to be wiped out completely. Then apply another coat of primer on the puttied surface. Before application of topcoat, smoothen the surface using Emery paper 280.

Thinning :
Add up to 2 parts of Dulux Thinner or equivalent to 10 parts of primer (20 %) by Volume to obtain brushing consistency.

- Flammable material
- Store container in upright position, with lid tightly closed, in a cool, dry place, away from ignition sources. In case of fire , use foam , dry powder , CO2, never use water.
- Keep out of reach of children and away from combustible material , food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Avoid contact with skin . Remove splashes from skin with soap and water or recognised skin cleanser .
- If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or label
- Use only in well-ventilated areas. Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness
- Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.
- Do not empty the material into drains or in water courses . Avoid release to the environment .
- Contain spillage using sand or earth.

- No added lead, mercury or chromium compounds.
