Dulux Water White Melamine
High performance two component system that has excellent decorative properties and forms a hard colourless transparent protective layer. It is suitable for use as a coating to all interior and sheltered exterior wooden surfaces. It is available in gloss and matt variant.

Surface Preparation :
- For pre-polished wood, remove all existing coatings by sanding or scraping.
- For new wood, sand surface smooth using emery paper no 180 followed by 320/400. Wipe off loose dust particles. If required remove dust and grease using a cloth soaked in Duco thinner
- For uneven surfaces, apply a filler coat using a putty knife or muslin cloth. Remove excess filler and allow small pits and minor cracks to dry for 1 hour. Staining is optional. Sand off with emery paper no. 180 followed by 320. Wipe off loose dust particles.
Sealing :
Mix Dulux Water White Melamine Sealer and hardener in the ratio of 9:1. Immediately thin with 20 - 30 % Dulux Melamine Thinner. Spray two coats and allow to dry for 5 - 6 hours.
Finishing :
Mix Dulux Water White Melamine Clear (Matt or Glossy) and hardener in the ratio 9:1 by volume. Thin immediately with Dulux Melamine Thinner. Strain the mixture through a nylon or muslin cloth. Apply 2 coats of Dulux Water White Melamine Clear (Matt or Glossy) and allow at least 5-6 hours in between coats. Each coat should be preceded by the sanding operation for better adhesion and therefore long-lasting finish. Wet on wet application may be done with a maximum gap of 30 minutes between coats with light sanding with emery paper no 320.
