Dulux WeatherShield Alkali Bloc Primer
Weathershield Alkali Bloc is a high-quality, high-performance priming system that permeates into the superficial layer of the wall and seals away chalky surfaces and improves topcoat adhesion. It also resists alkali and efflorescence attacks, protecting the surface from appearance of ugly salt (white) patches.

Surface Preparation :
Ensure the surface is completely dry and thoroughly clean and free from any grime, dust, flakes, grease, oily substances etc. For old surfaces, remove all loosely adhering particles or powdery material by thoroughly scraping, followed by cleaning. For areas severely affected by algae & fungus, application of ICI Pre-Treatment coat is recommended.
Application :
Apply one coat of WeatherShield Alkali Bloc over the dried surface by diluting with water in the ratio of 1:1 by volume using brush and allow it to dry for 4-6hrs before applying any top-coat over this.
Thinning :
Dilute WeatherShield Alkali Bloc Primer in 1:1 ratio with clean water.

- Store container in upright position, with lid tightly closed, in a cool, dry place.
- Keep out of reach of children and away from food, drink and animal feed.
- May be harmful if swallowed. In case of ingestion seek immediate medical attention.
- Ensure good ventilation at all times. Do not breathe vapour or spray. Avoid inhalation of dust by wearing a suitable nose pad during sanding and surface preparation.
- Wear eye protection during application. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- Remove splashes from skin with soap and water or a recognised skin cleanser.
- Do not pour left over paint down drains or in water courses. In event of spills, contain spillage using sand or earth.
