Product Description

Dulux Quick Drying Primer is a premium quality water-based primer for application on wood and metal surfaces. It is ec0-friendly water-based undercoat with low odour and low voc. Unlike conventional solvent based primers it dries quickly and therefore the topcoat ca n be applied on the same day.

Application Description

Step 1 : Preparing Surface for application For best results, use Dulux Quick Drying primer for both wood and metal. On wood surfaces, primer-putty-primer process is recommended for a smooth surface. On metal surfaces, 2 coats of primer are recommended. Step 2 : Application process For Wood: Sand the surface clean with Emery paper 180 and wipe all loose particles. If the cleaned surface is smooth, directly apply 2 coats of Dulux Stay Bright Glass. If the surface is rough or uneven, apply a coat of Dulux Quick Drying primer, then use putty to smoothen the surface, and apply another coat before applying topcoat. For Metal : Sand the surface clean with Emery paper 180 and wipe all loose particles, if cleaned surface is smooth directly apply 2 coats of Dulux Stay Bright Glass. If the cleaned surface is rough, apply 2 coats of Dulux Drying Primer before usage. Step 3 : Drying time For single coat at standard thickness under normal condition, touch dry is within 15 mins and recoating time is 2-3 hours.

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    Ensure surface is thoroughly clean, dry and free from all loose dirt, chalk, grease, fungi, algae and flaking paint. This can be achieved by brushing with a wire/stiff coir brush, followed by water jetting if required.
  • 2. Cleaning
    Clean all equipment with water immediately after use.
