Dulux Promise SmartChoice Exterior Primer

Dulux Promise Smartchoice Exterior Primer is a value for money, water-based primer for external surfaces. Its formulation ensures superior adhesion for the paint film, thereby resisting peeling or flaking of the topcoat.

Step 1: Surface Preparation
Ensure surface is thoroughly clean, dry and free from all loose dirt, chalk, grease, fungi, algae and flaking paint. Wet sanding should be used wherever possible. If exposure cannot be avoided by the provision of local exhaust ventilation, suitable respiratory protective equipment should be used.

Step 2 : Application Process
Apply one coat of Dulux Promise exterior Smartchoice Primer after thinning with water in the ratio of 1:1 by volume. Dilute 1 litre of Dulux Promise Exterior Acrylic Emulsion or Promise Smartchoice Exterior Emulsion with a maximum of 700 ml of clean water. In case of dark colors dilute with maximum of 500ml of clean water.

Step 3 : Drying Time
Apply 2 coats of Dulux Promise Exterior Acrylic Emulsion or Promise Smartchoice Exterior Emulsion with a gap of 4-6 hours between the coats. 3 coats may be required for darker colors. An additional coat should be applied in case of horizontal surfaces like the top of windows, ledges, Chajjas, parapet wall, etc.
